A custom WordPress site for a Kent damp specialist, delivered quickly and easy for the team to manage and blog on their own.
The problem
EnviroDamp is a damp survey and remedial specialist serving towns across Kent. They needed a professional web presence: one place to send customers that clearly explains what they do and why to trust them.
They had three priorities. The site had to be ready quickly, it had to look distinct rather than like another off-the-shelf template, and the team needed to manage it themselves, including publishing their own blog posts to build their search presence over time.
What I built
I built the site on WordPress so the team could update pages and publish posts without a developer. Instead of using a stock theme, I created a custom template so the site stands apart from the many damp companies using the same common designs.
The client provided their logo, text, and images, and we worked together on the design and layout to match their brand. The site includes clear service pages, a contact form for inquiries, a fully mobile-responsive layout, and SEO groundwork such as page titles, descriptions, and a structure that lists the Kent towns they serve.
I handled the theme development and build, while the client chose and managed their own plugins, which kept them in full control of the site after handover.
The result
EnviroDamp launched with a professional site on a short timeline. They now have a single place to refer customers to, which also strengthens their social media presence by giving every post and profile somewhere credible to link back to.
Because it runs on WordPress with a custom theme, the team updates content and publishes blog posts on their own, so the site keeps growing with the business.
