Pixora — Camera Rental & Booking Platform
A booking and management platform for a Davao camera rental business, replacing chat-based bookings and spreadsheets with one system.

The problem
Pixora rents cameras across Davao and beyond. Before this project, every booking ran through Messenger and Instagram: customers asked about availability in chat, sent payments and requirements through messages, and the team recorded everything in a spreadsheet.
With several admins handling bookings, the team had to manually check each request against the schedule to avoid double-booking the same camera. It was slow for customers and gave the business little visibility into what was booked, paid, or earned.
What I built
I built a single platform that handles the full rental flow, with a clean, premium look that fits the brand. Customers browse the catalog by category, see live availability and daily pricing, pick their dates, and submit their requirements directly on the site, then follow each step of the process online instead of through chat.
On the admin side, every booking lands in one shared dashboard, so all admins work from the same schedule. The system prevents overlapping bookings automatically, and admins can mark a camera as temporarily unavailable when needed. The dashboard also shows earnings and other key statistics at a glance.
Because the business depends on this data, I set up automatic backups: database dumps and uploaded images are copied to AWS S3, so the platform can be restored even if the hosting or database provider has an outage. Before launch, I tested performance and reviewed the app's entry points for security issues.
I handled the whole project myself, from planning and design through frontend, backend, and deployment.
The result
Pixora now runs its rentals from one place instead of scattered chats and spreadsheets. Double bookings are prevented by the system rather than by manual checking, and every admin sees the same up-to-date view of bookings and earnings.
Customers can check availability and submit requirements on their own, which made booking easier and helped turn more inquiries into confirmed rentals. The site also gives the business a professional web presence beyond social media.
